Tour Styles – Get the Justin Thomas RLX / Ralph Lauren look

Having had an incredibly successful past few days at Nine Bridges, South Korea, where he won the 2019 The CJ Cup, we take a closer look at the styles of 11 time PGA Tour winner and 2017 PGA Champion, Justin Thomas.

Having been a brand ambassador for Ralph Lauren and FootJoy since turning pro in 2013 his impact on both brand’s exposure hasn’t gone unnoticed. Long before he turned pro he was in fact already a huge fan of both Polo Golf Ralph Lauren and FootJoy, so a professional contract was an obvious marriage for both sides.

When it comes to style Justin is without doubt one of our Tour favorites. On course he can be seen wearing more traditional styles and colors, and consistently looks on trend, and the height of professional. Having worn Polo Golf Ralph Lauren since 2013, he joined the likes of Billy Horschel and Smylie Kaufman at the start of 2019 and began regularly combining both Polo Golf Ralph Lauren and Ralph Lauren’s RLX apparel.

Headwear

As a Titleist staffer he’s a big fan of both the Tour Performance TrueFit and Tour Elite TrueFit hats, and rarely wears anything other than navy, black, white and grey hats.

Shirts

With a combination of scripting from Ralph Lauren Justin is often seen varying between RLX and Polo Golf Ralph Lauren polo shirt and tops. Helpfully, Ralph Lauren list all of the available styles in one place. Justin’s color pallet tends to lean towards more traditional colors, navy, white and on occasion pink, such as at his recent win at the CJ Cup.

Outerwear

Since the start of the 2019 season JT seems to favor RLX when it comes to layering. He’s been spotted a number times this year in the Trop Wool Gilet which is a hybrid garment using a quilted wool and polyester filling within the quilt itself. Even more recently he’s been seen wearing the RLX Golf Brushback Jersey Half Zip.

One thing that doesn’t quite align with the consumer version vs JT tour clothing is the Polo Golf Ralph Lauren and RLX branding. For consumers the branding is always either much smaller, or in some cases not added at all. Obviously this is deliberate in order to provide increased exposure to both brands from Tour players.

Pants

When it comes to paints, it’s even easier to get the JT look. Ralph Lauren have kept it simple by creating the Slim fit, tapered leg Polo Golf x Justin Thomas Pant, available in both Navy and White.

Waterproofs

For those damp days, which aren’t too frequent on the PGA Tour, it’s also a very straight forward option from RLX comprising of the RLX Waterproof Golf Trousers and RLX Waterproof Twill Golf Jacket.

Footwear

Shoes are an area which Justin seems to have a lot of fun with. His go to choice from a young age has always been FootJoy, in particular the Icon Shield Tip’s which are one of the most stylish Golf shoes available, and FootJoy have a range of custom Icon Shield Tip options available here.

Justin Thomas – What’s in the bag 2019

As a Titleist staffer, Justin was one of the first to get hold of the new Titleist Jet Black Tour bag which we took a closer look at earlier in the month.
